参加している「信州の木の匠たち」展の20周年記念展のフライヤーに合わせて、シンボルマークのデザインをしました。ここにあらわしたのは、伝統と、その上にたつ作り手の腕と知恵と素材、その目的となる社会と、その未来。出展者は多様な作り手であるが故に個々に違いがあるのはもちろん、だからこそ俯瞰しても共通するような、根本的、心理的なものづくりの意義というようなものを考えました。その結果、一作り手としての理想の成り立ちの図案になったかもしれません。 ものづくりは時に素材や技術に縛られ肝心なものを見失いがちです。何の為に、何が最適か。その自問を繰り返した上に正義的な美しさが紡ぎ出されることを信じて進み続けようと思っています。
